What we do
Annual giving tree - Buy a book for the the school libraries at Sing Lee Alley Books every Christmas season.
Annual Book Sale - Donate your gently used books to the annual Friends Book Sale held every fall in City Council Chambers.
Petersburg's Writer Laureate- Every year the Friends select a local writer for this presigious position.

Airport and ferry book shelves - Time flies when you're reading. Check out the shelves at our local transportation hubs. Take a book on your travels or leave books that you think others might enjoy.
Provide small grants to local libraries - Did you ever wonder how the public library pays for our Reading Is Fundamental book giveaways or how the Elementary School Library got that great story time rug? Each year at their annual general meeting the Friends generously support small projects in local libraries.
