Lorraine and Harold Thompson
/Lorraine Thompson and her eldest son Harold came in to talk right before Christmas. She talked about her girlhood in Petersburg, riding bikes and playing in the woods with her friends, and exploring the islands and Stikine River with her family in a small boat. The black & white photo below shows Lorraine with sister Audrey with a fishing pole and her mother Amy holding a creel on one of their summer adventures at Blind Slough. She tells about working in the cannery in Scow Bay as a young girl, and how the Thompson Family got their start as fish buyers in Petersburg, eventually starting Petersburg Fisheries Incorporated with local partners.
